Schwab Wealth Advisory, Inc. (SWAI) provides periodic, non-discretionary investment advice to clients enrolled in Schwab's SWA Program. SWAI's advice is based on asset allocation, risk tolerance, and diversification, considering each client's circumstances. SWAI Representatives make recommendations on securities, including equities, mutual funds, ETFs, and SMAs, but clients make all investment decisions. SWAI also offers access to financial planning services.
SWAI does not directly charge clients for investment advice. Schwab pays SWAI a fee for the investment advice provided to SWA Accounts. SWAI Representatives provide periodic recommendations to clients about how to allocate assets and which securities to buy, sell and hold in a SWA account.
