Symmetry Partners offers investment advice and manages assets through model portfolios and separately managed accounts (SMAs). These strategies are offered to clients referred through independent broker-dealers and registered investment advisors, as well as directly to a limited number of clients. Symmetry also provides OCIO services and has an enhanced technology platform called Axiom Wealth Platform. Symmetry's investment approach is based on academic research, Modern Portfolio Theory, and quantitative analysis.
Fee Structure
Symmetry Partners offers various investment products and portfolio strategies, including ETF portfolios, separately managed accounts (SMAs), factor-based strategies, ESG/SRI-focused portfolios, alternative strategies, and fixed income portfolios. Fees for these products generally range from 0.15% to 0.30% annually, depending on the specific product, strategy, and services provided. Certain ETF portfolios and fixed income strategies are offered at the lower end of this range, while SMAs and sector momentum or factor-focused strategies may be offered at the higher end. All fees are negotiable and are fully disclosed to clients prior to engagement through client agreements and other required disclosures. For direct clients, Symmetry charges a percentage of assets under management, with rates decreasing as the portfolio size increases. The standard fee schedule begins at 1.00% on the first $2,500,000, decreasing to 0.75% for amounts between $2,500,001 and $5,000,000, and 0.50% for amounts over $5,000,001. Clients serviced by the Symmetry IAR located in our Alabama remote office have a different tiered IAR fee schedule: $0-$1,000,000 is 0.50%, $1,000,001-$3,000,000 is 0.45%, and $3,000,001-$5,000,000 is 0.40%. Amounts in excess of $5,000,001 will be priced at 0.40%.
